Jackie sadly lost her daughter, Megan, after she fell in the River Ouse in York while walking home, after a night out in January 2014.

Megan was studying Fine Art in York after finishing A levels and she bravely learned to live independently, away from home, and worked hard on her studies, whilst developing some great friendships in York.

Megan was a bright girl with a wicked sense of humour and a wilful side, mixed with an innocence that sometimes made her seem vulnerable. She was just a beautiful person inside and out.

Megan's death has really rocked the community and is a devastating loss to her friends and family.

When you lose someone that you love so dearly, it is very hard to accept. The only thing you can do is keep their memory alive by channelling your grief into something positive.

Together we can stop this tragedy from happening again."
