Rookie Festivals
Rookie Festivals provide suitable challenges and enjoyment for those taking part, while utilising Young Leaders and raising the profile of Lifesaving.
A Rookie Festival is an organised Lifesaving event, featuring competition between teams or clubs. Most have the same basic structure. Festivals held at a local pool, consisting of a series of games or races which test the lifesaving skills of Rookies.
A Rookie Festival is highly flexible with as many or as few events as your time, participant and equipment allows you to complete. Rookie Festivals can be run either as part of your regular Lifesaving session, or as a stand alone Festival with other invited teams or clubs.
