Welcome aboard to all our new Approved Training Centres!
We’re delighted to announce that we have had 41 new Approved Training Centres (ATCs) come on board since the start of the year.
RLSS UK had 60 new ATCs join us in 2016 and we already have 41 to date for 2017.
The ATC scheme has worked wonders in consolidating multiple RLSS UK qualifications and assessments for individual sites. The scheme is expressly designed to support training providers in continual improvement when training or assessing.
Keith Osborne, IQL UK’s National Account Manager, said: “Our ATCs play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of pool users as well ensuring our drowning prevention and water safety messages, reach a wide audience. They are instrumental in maintaining the high Royal Life Saving Society UK standards, both at home and abroad.
“Having more ATCs register year-on-year, can only increase the likelihood of continuing the record of no drownings in an RLSS UK lifeguarded pool since 2011 and, ultimately achieving our key aim of a future without drowning.”
Alan Ritchie, National Pools and Water Safety Manager for GLL, added: “We’ve been an ATC for 17 years now. It was important to us that our water safety and first aid qualifications were led by an organisation at the forefront of training standards for the sector. RLSS UK are a globally recognised brand with a proud history of innovative and proactive training solutions.”
