At the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK), we want everyone to feel well-equipped to enjoy water safely.

Now, as we find ourselves in the peak summer holiday season – we’re all about the fun! Whether you’re splashing around in the sea, braving a bit of coasteering, or testing your balance on a stand-up paddleboard, making sure the whole family are kitted up, comfortable and safe is a must! 
 
This year, two independent pieces of research - one conducted by ourselves, RLSS UK, and another by Bournemouth University - both concluded that significantly more people lose their lives to accidental drowning in the UK during periods of hot weather. With this in mind, our focus remains on educating families about how to stay safe whilst in, on and around the water. And what you wear whilst spending time at the seaside or enjoying open water seems like a good place to start...
Wetsuits for the win!
