This is a four-day course running from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on the following dates:

Monday 7 March 2022
Tuesday 8 March 2022
Thursday 10 March 2022
Friday 11 March 2022

Day 1 & 2 are delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams and Day 3 & 4 will be face-to-face at RLSS UK's Worcester Head Office. 

This course enables candidates to be Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) Trainer Assessors and be responsible for the delivery of RLSS UK’s OWL qualifications throughout the UK. It has been designed for anybody that has an OWL qualification and wants to take the next step.



Prerequisites

Every candidate attending an OWL Trainer Assessor course must:

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Be a current member (Licence to Operator Membership) with the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)
  • Hold a current Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) Qualification 

Course Content

The course will comprise of four modules:

Day 1: RLSS UK Trainer
Day 2: RLSS UK Assessor
Day 3: CPR & AED
Day 4: OWL Specialism

Assessment

Candidates are required to attend 100% of the course and complete two formal presentations (teaching) – one in the classroom and one for the water-skills section of the course. The formal assessments will be completed on the last day of the course.

The cost of the course is £325+VAT per person.

  • The processing will be by RLSS UK, the charity that directly controls IQL Limited.
