GBR Lifesaving is pleased to announce the Open and Youth Captains and Vice-Captains of the GBR Teams competing in the European Lifesaving Championships 2019, Riccione, Italy.

Ashley Mann, GBR Open Team Manager, is pleased to announce the Captain of the GBR Open Team is Lewis Rosewell with Zara Williams taking the role of Vice-Captain.Lewis Rosewell

Lewis Rosewell will wear his 11th cap for Great Britain and will captain the Senior Team for the 3rd time. Lewis is a member of Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club and the current European Ski, Board Rescue, Taplin and SERC Champion.

Zara Williams will wear her 10th cap for Great Britain and gain her first Vice Captaincy for the Open Team. Zara is a member of Crawley Town Lifesaving Club and is the current Double World Champion in 100m Rescue Medley & 50m Manikin Carry.

Sara Garner, GBR Lifesaving Youth Team Manager, is pleased to announce the Youth Team Captain is Louis Garner with Meriel Clode taking the role of Vice Captain in their final year in the youth category.

Louis will wear his 7th cap for Great Britain and will Captain the Youth Team for the 3rd time. A member of Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club, Louis is the current European Surf Champion and took

Silver in Line Throw at Worlds. He has raced for Great Britain in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium and Japan, and has been capped 3 times for England. Meriel Clode

Meriel Clode will wear her 4th cap for Great Britain and gain her first Vice Captaincy for the Youth Team. Meriel is a member of Pen y Bont Surf Lifesaving Club and has been capped 5 times for Wales. She has raced for Great Britain in New Zealand, Australia and Ireland.
