Throughout the last few months of 2017, the Community Drowning Prevention Coordinators were busy running the Lifesaving Network and Training Events across the UK and Ireland. The workshops were carefully designed based on information from the recent Volunteer Survey and Lifesaving Awards Review Consultation. The purpose was to provide updates, ideas and discussion to ensure you left with varying ideas of how you can continue to enjoy your individual experience with the Royal Life Saving Society UK.

The roadshows were a big success, 81% of attendees would recommend the workshops and 81% defined the workshops as good or outstanding.

We have now produced a brief summary report in evaluation of the workshops. This report includes a host of links to support the delivery of RLSS UK activity.

We have added the sections of the workshop presentation below so those that couldn’t make any of the dates can look at the delivered content.

  1. Social Media
  2. Getting more volunteers
  3. Data Protection
  4. Non-Vocational Awards
  5. Tools, Tips and Ideas

We will be back out on the road later in 2018 to deliver the next set of roadshows. This year’s roadshows will be specifically designed to cover the new lifesaving award and the Club 2020 Programme.

We look forward to seeing you all at the next set of roadshows. Dates to be confirmed late spring
