This autumn, the hugely popular and prestigious award ceremony the Pride of Britain Awards, returns to our screens and they’re looking for your nominations now.

The glittering awards ceremony, hosted by Carol Vorderman and sponsored by the Daily Mirror, celebrates our unsung heroes nationwide and counts royalty, MP’s and household names as regular attendees.

Do you work with an inspirational fundraiser? Do you know someone who’s displayed great courage? Maybe someone you know has transformed the lives of those around them.

Nominations close on 31 August but the organisers want to hear about your nominations sooner rather than later. They need time to build a clear picture of the nominee and make sure they fit the bill for short-listing.

Here is the full list of award categories: 

Outstanding Bravery

For adults who risk their own safety to help others in danger

Child/teenager of Courage

For battling against the odds to help others, or putting themselves at risk to save someone in danger.

Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year

To reward a young person aged 16 or under, for inspirational charity work.

This Morning Emergency Services Award

For police, fire, ambulance, paramedics or air, sea or mountain rescue who have gone beyond the call of duty to help others.

TSB Community Partner

For an individual or group that builds partnerships to help make their communities better places to live, selflessly improving the lives of people around them.

ITV Fundraiser of the Year

For tireless and inspirational charity fundraising, over the age of 16.

Lifetime Achievement

To recognise far-reaching achievement, possibly on a national or international scale.

Special Recognition

For achievements not covered in other categories, such as inspiring carers, campaigners and members of armed forces.

Scheduled to air this autumn on ITV, the ceremony is sure to tug the heartstrings and inspire others and this is your chance to secure recognition for some of the most deserving, uncelebrated people you know.

Here’s what you have to do:

1. Spread the word. The more nominations, the better.
2. Give as much information as you can about the person you’re nominating and why you’re nominating them
3. Don’t forget to say who you are, include your name and a contact number.
