This year the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Award celebrate their 20th anniversary and are looking for the nation’s unsung heroes to join them at a fabulous gala dinner event, hosted by Carol Vorderman and set to be screened on ITV this autumn.

The research company has approached RLSS UK to help them unearth these hidden gems of people, who go about their business, going the extra mile, largely without recognition: it may be an inspirational fundraiser, an adult or child who has displayed incredible courage or someone who has transformed the lives of the people around them. There is a full list of award categories below.

The gala dinner is typically attended by Royalty, the Prime Minister and leading politicians, as well as more than 100 of the biggest stars of show business and sport, Pride of Britain is the most prestigious and best-known event of its kind.
