The Royal Life Saving Society UK is a National Governing Body for Lifesaving Sport - a sport recognised by the International Olympic Committee and the Commonwealth Games Federation.

Our aim is to provide an inclusive range of opportunities to increase participation in lifesaving activities.

We recognise the importance of equipping as many people as possible with valuable lifesaving skills to help save as many lives as possible and to help reduce the drowning toll in the UK.

Great Britain Lifesaving is pleased to announce the Great Britain Youth Team to compete at the 2019 Lifesaving European Championships in Riccione, Italy.

The team of six male and six female athletes were selected from the Great Britain Lifesaving Squad representing clubs from Surf Life Saving GB, Surf Life Saving Wales and Royal Life Saving Society UK.

The Team was selected by the appointed selectors and is confirmed by the One Team Advisory Group.

The European Lifesaving Championships is held every two years and attracts competitors from all over Europe. The GBR team of 24 athletes will race in 24 events across a week of intense competition racing the best in Europe.
