As we race towards the festive season, do keep in mind that there are lots of opportunities to support RLSS UK that don’t involve dipping your hand in your pocket.

If you are giving the Christmas shopping crowd on your High Street a miss, please take a moment to sign up to Give as You Live – a fantastic site which allows you to earn donations for your favourite charity just by shopping online. There is no extra cost to you when shopping through Give as You Live – and you will get access to some fantastic special offers and competitions too!

As Christmas cards begin landing on your mat, do take a moment to save the stamps from your envelopes. For every kilo of used stamps RLSS UK donate to our partner, Xchange Master, we receive a fantastic £20 donation. These little paper squares soon add up – so please encourage your friends, family and local groups to get saving…

Xchange Master can also recycle old currency – so if you have any leftover currency from trips abroad this year, or have any old UK coinage stashed in a drawer, please get in touch for further details on how to donate them to benefit RLSS UK.

Continuing on the recycling theme, if you are planning on upgrading any of your small electronics, or hoping for a new mobile phone this Christmas, do consider donating your old items to raise funds for RLSS UK. We can also raise funds from old items of jewellery and ink cartridges.

If you’re having a pre-Christmas clear out, do also remember that you can choose to donate to RLSS UK every time you sell an item on eBay.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be launching our Christmas e-card campaign – a chance to send a special Christmas greeting to your social media and email contacts, or to cut down your Christmas card writing time!

For further information on any of the above, please contact Nicky Sargent.
