With just over a week to go to the start of the World Lifesaving Championships in The Netherlands, the last elements of planning and training are taking place.  Athletes are finessing their skills, checking their equipment and packing their kit.  Managers and coaches are planning, checking and planning again.  The months and months of preparation are about to come to fruition.

Expectations are high and there is a lot of pressure on athletes to perform, on coaches to support and the hosts to deliver a fantastic world championship.  Over the course of the next few weeks we will follow the highs and lows of international performance on a global stage.

Here at The Royal Life Saving Society UK we are delighted to have 185 athletes and 17 clubs taking part in the World Lifesaving Championships 2016.

We are sending you best wishes and will be following your performances closely!

Good Luck!
