Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) Trainer Assessor Course This is a four-day course running from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on the following dates: Monday 18 MarchTuesday 19 MarchWednesday 20 MarchThursday 21 March Days 1 and 2 are delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams and Days 3 and 4 will be face-to-face at Lincoln Water Park, Moor Lane, Thorpe on the Hill, Lincoln, LN6 9BW This course enables candidates to be Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) Trainer Assessors and be responsible for the delivery of RLSS UK’s OWL qualifications throughout the UK. It has been designed for anybody that has an OWL qualification and wants to take the next step. Prerequisites Course Content Assessment Cost Terms and Conditions Prerequisites Every candidate attending an OWL Trainer Assessor course must: Be 18 years of age Be a current member (Licence to Operator Membership) with the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) Hold a current Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) Qualification Course Content The course will comprise four modules: Day 1: RLSS UK TrainerDay 2: RLSS UK AssessorDay 3: CPR & AEDDay 4: OWL Specialism Assessment Candidates are required to attend 100% of the course and complete two formal presentations (teaching) – one in the classroom and one for the water-skills section of the course. The formal assessments will be completed on the last day of the course. Cost The cost of the course is £400+VAT per person. Please be aware that candidates are required to hold a Licence to Operate Membership to be eligible to attend the course and is not included in the course cost.
