On the 1 March I set out to swim 100 kilometers. This has taken many forms, from 12 x 25m individual medley sprint sets to the BLDSA 1 hour challenge, and towing an unconscious casualty during lifeguard training to adventure swims round the coast of Guernsey, Sark and Herm. Along the way I've qualified for the 5km Herm swim and the 6.5km Herm 360 swim, which I will complete in August. I've also had to contend with a neck injury and Covid, so I was pleasantly surprised to be the first finisher over 100k.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK is a fabulous charity which seeks to ensure everyone can enjoy the water safely through training, campaigns, research, standard setting and much more. I'm proud to support them as a lifeguard and fundraiser, and would be grateful if you would consider making a donation towards their work. Sarah Willis
