Nathan Phillips The Wales National Pool in Swansea has teamed up with the Swansea University Students' Union and the Swansea University Lifesaving Society to raise awareness and money for this crucial cause with the aim to educate and show University students the dangers that water can hold, especially when you have a lot of alcohol in your system. The Wales National Pool run a social media campaign every year to raise awareness of the dangers and Swansea University Lifesaving Society raise money for the local RNLI every year to support and help in the case of an emergency. Therefore, this year we decided to combine our two activities, along with the Students' Union, and run both a Swimathon and Quiz event and a week long awareness campaign. The Swansea University water-based sport teams will be taken on a massive challenge with involves each team swimming a relay continuously for an hour! Each team member will swim 1 length (25m underwater and 25m underwater) and then swap over. This will be an incredible feat by all teams involved and they are doing this for your donations to raise money for this crucial campaign so please donate what you can, not matter how big or how small.

Every donation we receive helps the RLSS to prevent drowning by equipping people with vital lifesaving skills and helps them to educate those most at risk in water safety education.

Please help us to keep Swansea students safe this winter. Nathan Phillips
