Rick Tazzini

On Sunday 5 May, our Interim CEO, Rick Tazzini will be abseiling down the iconic Church Langley Water Tower near Harlow, which towers impressively over the M11.

Although Rick has a genuine fear of heights, he has bravely decided to undertake this challenge and raise money for us, supporting our Drowning Prevention Week campaign, 14-24 June 2019.

All donations will help towards our charitable objectives of preventing accidental drowning, support families affected by losing a loved one to the water and develop the charity’s drowning prevention work through educating school children, young people and the wider public.

Rick says, “As I near the end of my tenure as Interim CEO, the charity has had such an impact on me and I am keen to give something back. With my fear of heights, flinging myself off a water tower to raise money, seemed like a good idea at the time! I would be so grateful for any support you can give me as I face my fear. Drowning doesn’t discriminate – from children in the home, Brits on holiday or runners and walkers near open water, at home or abroad. Thank you for visiting my page and keep an eye out for my photos once the challenge is done…I’ll be the one as white as a sheet!”
