Job Title: Head of Retail and Procurement
Hours: 35 hours a week – Monday to Friday
Location: RLSS UK HQ, Redhill House, 227 London Road, Worcester, WR5 2JG
Salary: £35,723 - £44,377

Key Task

Lead and manage the strategic and operational delivery of the RLSS UK online shop and all sales and procurement.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Provide strategic and day-to day management of the RLSS UK shop (currently RLSS Direct) and other sales channels, such as events
  • Deliver sales and margin growth across the business by identifying sales opportunities and closely managing operational costs
  • Identify and use new and/or underused sales channels to reach new customers, such as Amazon, Ebay, etc
  • Supplier management, including sourcing and negotiating with new suppliers
  • Warehouse, fulfilment, and stock management (including audit) whether insourced or outsourced
  • Manage general procurement across the business, including tendering processes for products and services, and all printed resources
  • Work with the Digital Platforms Manager to maximise e-commerce, including marketing and advertising
  • Work with the Digital Platforms Manager and IT & Business Services Team to ensure that the customer and data journey for online sales if efficient and maximised
  • Work with the Customer Services Team (and all other departments) to provide the highest standards of customer service
  • Implement policies to ensure the full legal compliance of the shop business, and best practice principles
  • Work with the RLSS UK Finance Team to ensure that the financial management of the shop business is efficient and compliant with all legal/audit requirements
  • Identify and implement practices to reduce the Society’s impact on the environment through the retail operations
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and annual reports on the performance of individual products, trends, and general performance of the business
  • Staff and budget management as required
