The RLSS UK (awarded by QNUK) Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) is a distance learning course via an online platform, for anyone wishing to further their learning in delivering qualifications.

This award meets the requirements needed for Mentors to meet a prerequisite for applying to become an RLSS UK National Trainer Assessor.

There is a 12-month deadline to complete all work however, candidates can work through the tasks at their own pace and a realistic and achievable timeframe would be around 4 to 6 months to complete. If the course is not completed within 12 months candidates will be charged a £60 reactivation fee.

The Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is 140 hours. Candidates are required to be a minimum of 19 years of age.  They should also hold, have equivalent to or can work to a minimum of Level 2 English functional skills in order to enroll on this qualification.

On enrolment, each learner will have a telephone call with a member of the RLSS UK Training Team to verify ID and provide access to the learning portal, this is also an opportunity to ask any initial questions. Each learner is allocated a Guidance Assessor, as well as access to eLearning content and a Learner Assessment Portfolio.

Assessment for the Award

The course requires you to answer short answer questions (SAQs), build a portfolio of Professional Teaching Practice and a requirement for a minimum of 30 hours of practice for this qualification with a minimum of 3 x 1-hour assessed observations.
