Everyone Active contract putting water safety first

A new agreement is helping to keep swimmers safe and standards high in pools across the country.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) has signed a three-year deal with Everyone Active, the UK’s longest-established leisure contractor, to continue their commitment to training lifeguards.

Everyone Active’s lifeguards will continue to be qualified in the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), which meets CIMSPA’s professional standard for lifeguarding. The deal also sees Everyone Active commit to upskilling its colleagues to become RLSS UK NPLQ Trainer Assessors. This will empower current team members to train the next wave of lifeguards coming through, as well as providing ongoing training to support their roles.

Everyone Active, which operates 190 leisure facilities across the country, has also secured a deal with RLSS UK’s strategic partner, Swim England, to encourage more people to get involved in aquatic activity.

“The safety and comfort of our customers is our number one priority at all times, so the continuation of our relationship with RLSS UK makes perfect sense,” said Jacqui Tillman, head of swimming at Everyone Active.

“Our mission is to get ‘everyone active’ and our pool offering is a crucial part of that. We want both our customers and team members to have confidence in the rigorous training standards we set, ensuring everyone can enjoy the water safely every time they visit our pools.”

RLSS UK’s Director of Commercial Operations, Jo Talbot said:

“As the leading provider of water safety training and education, having Everyone Active onboard with us for another three years is a real coup for us.

“They mirror our dedication to ensuring that people can enjoy all the health and well-being benefits of the water, safely.

“I am looking forward to taking the relationship forward and supporting Everyone Active’s impressive dedication to customer experience and team development.”
