I would like to seek your support for a fantastic new initiative that has the potential to benefit our Society as a whole. We have entered into an exciting partnership with Life Skills Education C.I.C. (D.A.R.E.) and Skoda Rainworth/Bickerton to run the #WINACARSAVEALIFE lottery –a chance for the public to support our wonderful charity and win a car!

This is a great opportunity to raise the profile of RLSS UK and raise some funds to continue our lifesaving work. The partners have agreed that the proceeds from the sale will go towards providing educational resources for schools. Tickets can be purchased at RLSS UK events.

I would be grateful if you could support the Society in this venture by selling tickets across your branch. The possibilities are endless on how we can achieve this – here are just some suggestions.

Within your branch it would be great if you could nominate a ‘lottery champion’. This person is someone who can liaise with RLSS UK staff at HQ directly and coordinate the distribution of tickets. If you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else please contact Marketing.

I know in your branch there will be many activities and events you will be hosting or taking part in – we would be grateful if you could promote the tickets at these events.

Another opportunity is to ask your branch committee and extended volunteer group to sell some tickets to their contacts outside of the lifesaving family. This could be family, friends or work colleagues.

Social media is a very powerful medium and many of you will have both branch and personal social media channels. It would be great if you can support this initiative on those forums which will enable people to access this online. The link above will take you directly to an online sales page and can be copied into social media posts.

Details of the lottery will also be in the club newsletter – it would be great if you could promote the sale of tickets through the clubs within your branch and ask them to each sell a few books locally in their areas.

I would like to thank you in anticipation of your support for this exciting venture in raising both the profile and vital funds for RLSS UK. The car will be presented to the lucky winner on the 25^th November at the Belfry Hotel, Nottingham. We hope some of you may join us at this celebration dinner. Tickets for the event will be on sale soon.
