Earlier this month guest blogger Tina Smith, Save a Baby’s Life Co-ordinator for Kent Branch, shared with us the work that goes into getting ready for a baby show. With the show taking place on Friday, Tina gives us an update.

Preparations are done and the baby show starts this Friday, 25th April, at Glow Bluewater in Kent.

The corner of my dining room now resembles a small warehouse with the show vinyls, boxes of water safety leaflets, baby choking leaflets, expert workshop presentation, baby manikins and much more besides.

Setting up on Thursday night will take a couple of hours to complete and the exhibition hall is always bustling with activity and filled with every conceivable item that parents could want.

I am also pleased to announce that we have a post-show Save a Baby’s Life presentation on the 9th June courtesy of Cascades Leisure Centre.

Advertising will start at the show this weekend and everyone at the expert workshops will be invited to sign up for the full Save a Baby’s Life clinic.

Although this is Kent’s fourth show, I still get nervous and hope that all will go well. Over 10,000 people attended last October and ticket sales have already exceeded all expectations. It’s going to be busy!

If you or your Branch are interested in running a stand at a baby show, Tina Smith is always happy to pass on her experience in setting up and preparing for the event. Email [email protected] for more information.
