RLSS UK is delighted SwimFin opted to renew their Water Safety Partnership with us last year and with the new year upon us, now is the perfect time to start thinking about those all-important lessons and getting in some swim practice, in readiness for the warmer months.

This time of year is often difficult to find activities to occupy and entertain children, as the weather can be so unpredictable and unforgiving. Getting your children settled into swimming lessons through the winter, will mean that they have an activity that will be full of energy and heaps of fun, but won’t involve sitting on a bench in the rain or fighting through the masses at soft play and unplugs them from the latest games console!

Investing now means that, come the summer months, all the family will reap the rewards with confident and skilled swimmers, raring to head out to outdoor lidos or swimming pools, on holiday. We’ve all heard that starting swimming lessons earlier, especially with the popularity of baby lessons, can be beneficial in many ways, but don’t let that put you off if your children are older.

You are never too old to learn to swim!

Whilst lessons will undoubtedly help with fears of water, you know your child best and if baby lessons didn’t feel right in the early stages, starting as they get older is certainly no bad thing, there really is no wrong time to learn. Children are fantastic at picking up new skills and with swimming, will often be having so much fun they will hardly realise they’re learning and exercising mind and body too!

SwimFin is worn on the back (like a dolphin or shark fin) and is aimed to make learning to swim as comfortable, simple and fun as can be, for anyone, young or old, ready to take the plunge!
