Who may make a nomination

Anybody can nominate someone else for an honour. You cannot nominate yourself for an RLSS UK Honour.

Decisions about whether honours are progressed initially sit with RLSS UK Branches, once submitted they go to the National Honours Committee which includes the Former President, Deputy President and Current President.

Nominations in 2021 are open from 1 February and close on 22 March.

      Completing a nomination

It is crucial that time is taken to read the guidance and submit as much information as possible about your nominee in line with the published criteria

      Read the 2021 Guidance

You may find it useful to refer to our supporting information – Writing an effective citation when completing Merit Honours. The citation is an opportunity to get your nominee recognised for their work.

Nominations can now be made electronically through our tahdah platform. We have produced a video below to talk you through the process and further support submitting a nomination.

If you are having any problems completing nominations please email [email protected] for support.
