Across the UK and Ireland, every year around 700 people tragically drown. This number would be much greater if it wasn’t for the correct decisions being made at the right time. Personal survival, self-rescue and community intervention save lives.

Community rescue is essential as a front-line emergency response to water related incidents. It’s the skills and knowledge about possible situations of incident and emergency that saves lives. If you’re aware of a successful rescue or lifesaving intervention, we’d love to hear about it. The rescue must have happened in the last 12 months.
