This year, RLSS UK has teamed up with 17-year-old student, Stephen Adams to run our Spring Clean campaign 20-31 March, as we look to increase the reach of our water safety advice, just in time for the Easter break and the (hopefully) improving weather sees more of us out and about.

Recently achieving his NPLQ with his swimming club, Stephen is also enjoys canoeing and kayaking. Currently studying a BTEC in computer science at UTC Reading, as part of his course, Stephen is required to run a social media campaign on a theme of his choice and in combining his BTEC course with his love of being in, on and around water, Stephen chose the issue of ‘drowning prevention’, sharing our dedication to help everyone enjoy water safely.

As lockdown restrictions start to lift, schools break up and we start to use the great outdoors more to reconnect with loved ones and exercise more freely, RLSS UK aim to use the Spring Clean campaign to raise awareness of some water safety basics.

In running the campaign in conjunction with RLSS UK, Stephen will be using six essential water safety graphics across three dedicated social media platforms, you can follow the campaign and share the posts here:
