If whilst, as a first responder, you are registering Public Rescue Equipment (PRE), including life rings and throw lines, you notice that some are damaged or missing, we would appreciate you reporting it in the app. We will then, temporarily remove it from the map, contact the landowner or local authority to notify them that the equipment is not fit for purpose, and ask them to ensure that it is repaired or replaced as soon as possible and when we have confirmation the issue has been resolved we will replace it on the lifesaving map.

Here are the instructions for reporting damage.

Open the app

Input as much detail as possible about why you are submitting a report - has the equipment been vandalised? is it not intact? are there pieces missing? has the writing worn away? Etc.

Then click the report button.

You will receive a message to say that you have successfully reported that the equipment is broken or damaged.

The water rescue equipment icon will then be temporarily removed from the map until the issue you reported has been resolved.
