About the RLSS UK Aqua Park Module

The Aqua Park Module has been created to provide those working at RLSS UK-approved aqua parks with the additional knowledge and skills required to supervise and perform rescues in an aqua park environment.

The course also introduces the fundamental techniques used in aqua park operations.

This module has been created in partnership with the Aqua Park Association of UK and Ireland.


Prerequisites

The RLSS UK Aqua Park Module is only available to those working at an RLSS UK Approved Aqua Park who meet the following criteria:

  • Before attending the Aqua Park Module, you must hold NPLQ, NVBLQ or OWL.
  • Be assessed against all learning outcomes in the units taken.
  • Must complete all activities in the aqua park syllabus.

Course content

The Aqua Park Module is 7 hours in duration and is deliverable in one day.

  • Board Rescues
  • Managing Spinal Injuries in an Aqua Park Environment
  • Scenario Training

Renewal

The RLSS UK Aqua Park Module has an expiry of 2 years from successful completion.

Aqua Park Module candidates may renew their award within the validity of their existing award as stated on their certificate. To requalify, candidates must complete the course and assessment as a new candidate.
