RLSS UK has created guidance for anybody involved in training and assessing, including Training Centres and Clubs to use when delivering and assessing RLSS UK and IQL UK awards and qualifications.

We have been committed to supporting the industry and our members during COVID-19 and provided guidance throughout, using our experience, expert Advisors, Partners and information from various government groups and other organisations to provide support.

This guidance has been reviewed and amended following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the summer of 2021. COVID-19 is still prevalent in our communities, so it remains important for Trainer Assessors, Instructors, Tutors, Clubs, Training Centres and Training Providers to follow the guidance provided to protect candidates and those involved in training and assessment from contracting COVID-19.

RLSS UK suggests that the guidance is considered when reviewing risk assessments, deciding on control measures to reduce risk and planning courses and assessments. The measures suggested in the guidance may not be appropriate for all venues and/or situations and should be considered as part of a wider plan to protect staff, customers, and third parties. The guidance is not exhaustive, and further guidance may be sought from other organisations.

Please note this is an ever-changing environment, and guidance will be updated regularly following changes from the government. It is important that you ensure you have the most recent version, which is available here.

Where local government, your employer, the venue or your risk assessment requires further control measures, you can continue to use the guidance within the V1.3 Feb 2021 version here.
