If the facility has qualified lifeguards or first-aiders - available to respond quickly to a swimming teacher or coach in an emergency, you could consider a NRASTC LIGHT qualification – click here for more information. Testimonial “All our swimming teachers hold a RLSS UK NRASTC certificate, and we regularly complete ongoing training for proficiency in the lifesaving skills taught. The course is fun and engaging and provides reassurance for me - as the owner and founder of the business - and the parents of the children participating in the swimming lessons and ensures that the teachers can prevent dangerous incidents from happening during lessons and react quickly and without panicking if they do. I believe that all swimming teachers and coaches should gain this certificate.” Sallie Walters, Broom Swim School Renewal Click here for details on how to renew Book a NRASTC Course Click here to book a NRASTC course near you Become an NRASTC Tutor To become a NRASTC Tutor, click here Other Qualifications Click here to find out more about National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches LIGHT (NRASTC LIGHT) Click here to learn more about our Aquatic Therapy Shallow Pool Rescue Award (ATSPRA) Click here to view all our qualifications Manage Cookie Preferences
