The six hours of ongoing training and competency assessment hours must cover content from the NRASTC syllabus as follows: The Teacher, Swimming Pool and Class Management (at least 2 hours) In-water swimming pool rescue skills (at least 2 hrs) CPR, AED, and First Aid (at least 2 hrs) Ongoing training and competency assessment hours can be achieved by: Attendance at ongoing NRASTC/lifeguard training and competency assessment (strongly recommended) Attendance at alternative training, face-to-face or online, relating to in-water swimming pool rescue skills, CPR, First Aid and NRASTC/lifeguard theory Click here to view NRASTC Renewal courses If the 'Results - Map' doesn't show any courses in your area, contact your local leisure centre, swimming pool, or lifesaving club for possible upcoming courses or email [email protected] for further assistance. Failure to renew within the validity period of your existing NRASTC qualification will result in you undertaking the full NRASTC course and assessment again.
