Her Majesty the Queen

Everyone at The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) is extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the charity’s thoughts are with The Royal Family.

Her Majesty was the Patron of The Royal Life Saving Society and was the first young person in the Commonwealth to achieve the society’s Junior Respiration Award, providing an inspiration to young people and helping to establish lifesaving and resuscitation qualifications across the network of nations.

RLSS UK is extremely grateful for the support Queen Elizabeth II gave to The Royal Life Saving Society during her reign and we will miss her dearly.

Her Majesty the Queen as a young lifesaver

As a nation we take time to reflect on the incredible impact that Her Majesty had on many lives, not only in the United Kingdom, but across the world. RLSS UK will continue to pay our respects to Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family.

Throughout the period of national mourning, as a mark of respect, we will suspend much of our usual communications and marketing activity.

Our national #DontDrinkandDrown campaign is due to begin on Monday 12th September; we have taken the decision to continue with this campaign to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of students is taken into account as we approach Freshers week at many universities across the country. We usually see an increase in drownings during this period our work and campaign is vital in providing water safety information to young people.

RLSS UK will of course be here for our customers and members as usual throughout this period; if you have any questions please contact our customer service team as usual, and they will be able to direct your query.
