The Royal Life Saving Society UK is Delighted to confirm Jon Gwynn as Welsh Team Manager and Simon Parker as Assistant Team Manager for the upcoming Commonwealth Festival of Lifesaving.

Jon says: “We are very much looking forward to Wales returning to the Commonwealth Festival of Lifesaving. Over the coming months, we will be looking to identify, select and train the strongest possible team from Wales to take to this competition.”

It is very exciting for all athletes in the UK and Ireland as the new-look Commonwealth Festival of Lifesaving comes to England. Athletes from across the Commonwealth will compete in Leeds in November at this prestigious event.

The festival aims to encourage participation and lifesaving development and to bring together the lifesaving family. An individual skill element (similar to our own National Championships) will be held, in addition to the more traditional Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships.

Athletes who are interested in representing Wales at the Commonwealth Championships are asked to register their interest here.
