FA - What is the difference between Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW)? Expand EFAW is suitable for staff who work in a ‘low risk’ environment such as an office or shop and meets HSE requirements. FAW includes the content covered in the EFAW course but also enables the first-aider to recognise and administer first aid in more serious scenarios.
FA - If I complete the combined NPLQ/FAW course will this be recognised? Expand Yes. On completion of a combined NPLQ/FAW the candidate will be issued with two certificates, one for the NPLQ and one for FAW.

Volunteer - Will it cost me anything to be a volunteer? Expand There is no cost to volunteering with RLSS UK and we will reimburse reasonable food and travelling expenses. If you are on benefit support, volunteering will not affect those.
Volunteer - Do you offer training? Expand Our volunteers go through an induction process. Training opportunities will also be offered whenever appropriate on an ongoing basis.
Volunteer - How much of my time will volunteering take up? Expand No matter what your availability is, we can generally find something to fit with your schedule – from a couple of hours to four or five days a week. We also have occasional roles that are available on weekdays and weekends, morning, evening and afternoons.
Volunteer - What skills do I need to volunteer? Expand This will depend on the role and activities you wish to undertake. Some of our roles demand a certain amount of skills and experience but these will be made clear before you apply for the volunteer role. However, most of our opportunities require no particular skills other than your motivation, enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to work in a team.
