To support you during the pandemic, some changes were made surrounding the assessment of our qualifications and renewals.

Some of these adaptations ceased on 31/12/2021 and returned to the details within each guidance and syllabus.

The table below gives an outline of the adaptions previously put in place and their current status:

Removal of the 4 consecutive assessments rule  

 

This adaptation ceased on 31.12.2021. Please see the relevant Guidance and Syllabus for information on the requirements for this. 

Candidate theory answer papers invigilated and marked by the course trainer and countermarked by the assessor. 

 

This is now a permanent option that has been added to the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) Guidance and Syllabus.

Where renewal requires completion of CPD hours, RLSS UK Members can use our online modules to contribute towards these hours.
