We are fundraising for the Royal Life Saving Society as we know what important work they do in making sure we are all watersafe. We want to help spread the word like our Mum who volunteers for the RLSS.
To help the RLSS UK continue their invaluable work around water safety. As well as continue giving children the chance to enjoy a lifetime of fun in the water, safely.
I am currently doing Rookie Lifeguard myself and I know how important it is to be safe around water.
We believe that swimming is a skill for life which the RLSS UK plays a big part in supporting.
Following my breast cancer diagnosis in 2021 and subsequent treatment I have failed miserably to return to swimming, an activity I love. This has been primarily due to fatigue and the side effects of longer term medication.
I am fundraising for Make A Splash and the Royal Lifesaving Society because as a lifeguard myself I strongly believe that as much support should be given to prevent accidents in the water. Every year there are thousands of injuries and deaths in the UK alone due to lack of water safety, mostly in children, which can be easily avoided if the support is provided. So I am swimming for Make a Splash to Make a Difference!
I want to help raise money for water education.
Please donate to an amazing cause . I will be swimming 1891m, something I love doing . Thank you for your support
I have just completed the make a splash and wanting to raise money for a good cause and to do something I love doing swimming!
a) It's amazing charity that does important workb) it has amazing people dedicated to its workc) drowning is preventable, we just need more resource to make it happen
Challenge ourselves as we are swimming in the sea and for some it will be the first time swimming through October and December as well as to raise awareness of the importance of being safe in water, raise funds for the RLSS UK and have fun!
As a family who enjoy swimming and water sports activities, water safety sits high up on our list of priorities.
