266 schools took part in our award-winning Water Smart Schools programme

The initiative provides schools with all the necessary materials to deliver class-based water safety education, utilising our tried and tested, adaptable lesson plans and resources. 

c. 2.3m children were educated in water safety using our free resources

These free, downloadable materials and resources are made available to schools and families on the RLSS UK website and via our strategic partners.

49,887 Rookie Lifeguard qualifications were delivered in 2025

Our Rookie Lifeguard (for children aged 8-12) and Rookie Rescue Skills (for disabled children) programmes offer valuable self-rescue and lifesaving skills, equipping children with the essential knowledge to recognise hazards, respond effectively in emergency situations, and stay safe in, on and around water.
