The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) has secured a trio of long-term contracts with multi-site operators to help ensure the highest levels of safety in and around their swimming pools.

The UK’s leading water safety charity has worked with Active Northumberland, Fife Sports & Leisure Trust and Mosaic Spa and Health Clubs for a number of years. Now, each of the operators has committed to extend their long-standing relationship with the RLSS UK with a new three-year partnership.

The new agreements will see RLSS UK work closely with the three operators to provide products and services to meet their safety needs over the next three years.

RLSS UK has been working with Fife Sports and Leisure Trust since its launch in 2008. The trust has nine sites. Martin Rae, Safety and Facilities Manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “RLSS UK has a long-established reputation in delivering a high standard of qualifications which meet our needs, such as the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). We are pleased to be renewing our partnership as it gives the Trust continued external quality assurance, technical support and professional development for our trainers and assessors. Thanks to RLSS UK’s nationally-recognised qualification and support, we have the confidence that our lifeguards have the vital skills they need to maintain bather safety.”

Operating for more than 30 years, Mosaic Spa and Health Clubs has 34 health clubs and spas across the country and employs over 450 staff. “Highly qualified lifeguards are critical to the success of our venues, which is why we have partnered with RLSS UK for more than 20 years. Their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is robust and the best on the market,” says Phil Rowe, Training and Regional Manager at Mosaic.

One of Mosaic’s family-orientated clubs is soon to launch RLSS UK’s Rookie Lifeguard programme to educate children and inspire the next generation of lifeguards. RLSS UK will also deliver six days of bespoke training per year to upskill and standardise trainer assessors within the Mosaic organisation.

“We are excited to be consolidating and improving upon an excellent existing relationship with RLSS UK, which is key to the continued robustness of our lifeguard training as well as the wider provision we deliver throughout the Mosaic company. We value the support provided by RLSS UK and know the organisation will continue to offer Mosaic Spa & Health Clubs all we need for the future,” says Rowe.

“We are delighted to extend our successful relationships with these three organisations, which are some of our oldest and most valued customers. We look forward to working with them to help their businesses continue to thrive in the future,” says Jo Talbot, Director of Commercial Operations at RLSS UK.
