Rules for funded training

• Funded training courses can only take place in England
• Candidate must be:
• Be aged 19 or over on the 31 August 2020
• Be a UK or EU citizen for 3 or more years and have the right to abode in the UK
• Not be in full-time education
• TAs must seek approval from RLSS UK before delivering any funded training (details and form can be found below)
• You must enrol the required number of learners for the course to be sustainable (see below)

Setting up a course

If you would like to deliver a funded course you will need to advertise the course using the material found below to be clear to all interested parties that the training is funded by Vision West Nottinghamshire College.

Those that are interested in attending the course should be directed to the eligibility checker here and Creative Sport and Leisure will check if they are eligible and what level of funding will be provided.

Candidate when enrolling on a funded course will need to pay an administration fee of £50.00, this is payable to Vision West Nottinghamshire College via a payment portal.

If candidates wish to complete the assessments for each qualification and obtain a certificate they will need to pay you direct to organise this. 

Costs

The following will be provided by Vision West Nottinghamshire College:

• Trainer fees for minimum training hours at £30 and hour, Trainer Assessors will need to invoice the college directly (details will be provided)
• RLSS UK candidate resources (assessment forms and papers will not be provided and will need to be purchase separately)
• Candidate consumables (manikin lungs and training first aid kits for each candidate and manikin wipes)

RLSS UK Trainer Assessors should set up courses and advertise in local communities.

Funding and minimum number of candidates

Funding will be payable following the training courses and should be requested prior to the course by completing the form available here. Funding cannot be granted without approval from RLSS UK prior to the course.

In order to request funding from RLSS UK you will need:

• Reach the minimum number of candidates to complete the course (see below)
• Ensure candidates meet learning outcomes in order for funding to be awarded in full
• To complete a Vision West Nottinghamshire College course register and collect information on their behalf to support funding claimed by each individual (this will be provided to you)

Assessment

If candidates wish to complete assessments and be awarded certificates you will need to arrange and charge the candidate accordingly.

You will need to purchase assessment forms and papers from RLSS UK, details of prices are below. Assessments should not provide you as a TA or your ATC/P with any profit.
