1.1 Make a Splash Jan-you-ary 2025 is a fundraising event starting on 1 January 2025 and ending on 31 January 2025. It can be completed at a location that suits you.

1. Make a Splash is operated and managed by the Royal Life Saving Society UK, a registered charity in England, Wales (1046060), and Scotland. Company limited by guarantee registered in England (3033781); (“RLSS UK” or “we”).

1.4 If we have to contact you in relation to Make a Splash we will do so by writing to you at the email address that you provide to us. We may also send you relevant Make a Splash correspondence to your postal address where required.

 

2.1 Our acceptance of your entry to Make a Splash will take place when you have completed an online registration form and we have emailed you to confirm your registration, at which point you will have entered into an agreement with us and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2.2 By registering, you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old at the date of your registration. If you are under 18, you must have obtained permission from your parent or guardian to take part individually or as part of a team.

2.3 The challenge has not been developed with any individual's particular health requirements in consideration, therefore by registering, you are confirming that you can swim; and are healthy and fit enough to complete your Make a Splash challenge; and that you have freely chosen to participate in Make a Splash at your own risk.

2.4 RLSS UK encourages safe participation during Make a Splash and advises participants take extra caution when open water swimming or swimming without the presence of a lifeguard.

2.5 After clearance of the appropriate sign-up fee, no refunds or deferrals shall be provided should you fail to take part for any reason in Make a Splash, subject to clause 2.6 below.

2.6 In the event that Make a Splash is postponed or cancelled, you will have the opportunity to:

(a) donate all entry fee payments to RLSS UK; or

(b) defer your entry to a subsequent Make a Splash event.

2.7 By registering for Make a Splash, you are creating a Give Tap fundraising page to fundraise for RLSS UK in connection with this event. By creating a Give Tap fundraising page, you agree to comply with Give Tap’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
