Swap your assessment forms for credits

On 01 September we wrote to all trainers, instructors, centres, clubs and branches explaining that, due to CPR changes, any course materials packs (including candidate manuals, assessment paperwork, and assessment forms) purchased before 01 September needed to be used by 31 December 2021.

We are committed to supporting you through these challenging times and recognise that, due to restrictions enforced as a result of COVID-19, you may not be in a position to use all of your pre-purchased candidate packs before the end of the year. We are delighted to inform you that we are introducing a swap scheme. From today until 31 December 2021, you will be able to swap assessment forms (not manuals) for credits in your RLSS UK Account (powered by tahdah).

Any forms not swapped by 31 December 2021 will not be eligible for this scheme and won’t be swapped for credits.

All you need to do is complete a form in your RLSS UK account to apply to swap your assessment form(s) to be exchanged for assessment credit(s). You will need to complete a new form for each qualification/award, so if you have 10 NPLQ new candidate forms and 5 Survive & Save forms you will need to complete two separate requests.

Please note that we expect an unprecedented number of applications and we will endeavour to respond to your request within 21 days, we ask you to plan ahead and allow time for the credits to be applied to your account.

Only forms for current versions of a qualification will be processed.

What is a credit?

A credit allows you to record and process the candidates results to provide the candidate with an electronic certificate. You will assign the credit to a course and a candidate.

Where is the application to swap forms?

You will need to log onto your RLSS UK Account (powered by tahdah) to make an application. Haven’t logged on yet, or can’t remember how to? Don’t worry, we have you covered here.

Once you've logged into your account, click on: My Details – Additional Information – Assessment Report Form Transfer.

I have manuals that can't be used after 31 December 2021, what do I do?

Any manuals purchased before 01 September do not include the updated CPR and First Aid changes and so are due to expire on 31 December. The number one principle is all candidates are informed of the CPR and First Aid changes and given every opportunity to succeed in assessment. If you have manuals due to expire on 31 December, here are a few options to follow:

  1. Purchase new candidate manuals at a reduced cost (just £5 per manual) between 29 November and 04 January 2022.
  2. All candidates signing on to a course will have access to a new digital manual (There is also a copy in your resources area) which you can use for teaching as opposed to your expiring printed manuals.
  3. Provide candidates with a detail of the changes to CPR and First Aid (available to download in your resources area) and an explanation of the changes to ensure they understand the differences between their candidate manual and the new CPR and First Aid information.

Please note that you should no longer be using old (pre-sept 2021) theory assessment papers (NPLQ, NPSQ and First Aid only). When you swap your assessment form(s) for a credit(s), you will have access to download electronic theory assessment papers. Please plan ahead and before completing assessments, ensure you are familiar with the process to register a course and download assessment papers.
