The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) is indebted to the outstanding contribution of members and affiliate members who volunteer their time to educate and train the UK and Irish public to enjoy water safely. The National Presentation of Honours is an annual event, designed to say thank you to all that contribute to a reduction in drowning across the UK and Ireland and allows individuals and groups to celebrate their achievements. We are delighted to invite our 1891 Life Fellow Members to the National Presentation of Honours with VIP seats as a thank you for supporting RLSS UK by leaving a gift in their Will – helping future generations to enjoy water safely.
There are two series of Honours – Service and Merit. Each series is independent of the other and each has different criteria of eligibility. Individuals may, and often will, hold both Service and Merit Honours and could receive one of each in a single year. It should be emphasised that both Service and Merit Honours have equal value and are awarded in recognition of valuable work completed to support the aims of the Society.
