Competitive lifesaving is back!
We are launching a Virtual Pool Lifesaving League to get everyone back in the pool and enjoying Lifesaving Sport again. This free event will be an inter-club league run at a club level. It is happening in lifesaving clubs across the UK and Ireland – and we hope yours will be one of them taking part!
The virtual pool lifesaving league is a new concept for RLSS UK but not for lifesaving - it is popular in Canada. So, as we move out of the COVID era, we aim to work with other Commonwealth nations to set up a competition that will allow competitors across the world to test and benchmark their abilities and instructors and officials to return to a form of competition in a safe environment that limits travel and contact.
Starting on 14 July 2021, the league will run until 30 September 2021.
Results are submitted online and transferred into a league format, click the links below to submit your results and see current standings.
The principle of the league is to encourage fun and development built on trust, so we hope and expect that all clubs, instructors, and athletes share the same principle.
As this is a new concept, we are encouraging suggestions and comments about the league to help us continuously improve.
Good luck, have fun, and welcome back to competitive lifesaving!
