Many thanks to Trustee Emma Davids for letting us know about the courageous actions of Bingley Life Saving Club member, Holly Warren.

Whilst on holiday, Holly successfully rescued a teenage boy who’d been playing in the water with his sister. The boy had started to panic when he suddenly found himself out of his depth. Holly’s father, Simon, had  been on hand to help but was unsure of exactly what to do. Thanks to her Rookie Lifeguard training, Holly had the presence of mind to politely ask her dad to stand aside so she could help with the rescue, as she calmly and bravely went into the water.

Emma presented Holly with her Young Person’s Certificate of Commendation at a school assembly, where Emma was also able to share RLSS UK water safety messages to the student body.
