To complement your journey to Water Smart Schools Accreditation, why not take part in Mini Make a Splash?

Mini Make a Splash is our fundraising event especially for children and young people! We’re challenging schools to set themselves a cumulative swimming distance target and achieve (or exceed) it within a single academic school year – all to raise vital funds for RLSS UK.

Mini Make a Splash is a sponsored distance swimming challenge that you can complete in a location and timescale that suits you! We will offer full support throughout your challenge and keep you motivated. We simply ask that each participating school logs a minimum of 1.5km overall (that’s 2 x 25m lengths per child, calculated on a class of 30). Many schools will no doubt work to log far greater distances and we will fully support this!

When you sign up as a school, you can choose to involve any number of children, from any year group. You are then free to do the swimming, log overall distances and fundraise on one page – with all materials provided free of charge. You can even choose to join the Make a Splash Leaderboard and see how you compare to other schools.

On completion, you will receive a certificate to celebrate your school’s success and downloadable certificates for anyone who takes part!
