Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA)

RLSS UK is a CIMPSA Education partner and is proud to have been awarded CIMSPA’s 3-Star ‘Enhancing’ Award. CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK's sport and physical activity sector. The 'Enhancing Award' is only obtained by organisations that demonstrate outstanding quality standards in education and deliver excellent provisions to learners. Upon completing some RLSS UK qualifications, candidates are awarded CIMSPA points for contributing to personal development.


Cyber Essentials 

Cyber Essentials is an effective government-backed scheme that helps to protect an organisation against a whole range of the most common cyber-attacks. Completing the cyber essentials programme ensures that the IT systems used by RLSS UK are robust and protected, as much as possible, from cyber attacks.  


Disability Confident Committed

The Disability Confident Committed Scheme is a government initiative designed to encourage employers to recruit, retain and develop disabled people and those with health conditions. The Disability Confident badge will also show disabled people that you recognise the value they can bring to your business - putting you ahead in the search for talent.  As part of the registration, RLSS UK, as an employer, agrees to a number of commitments relating to inclusive and accessible recruitment, offering interviews to disabled people, anticipating reasonable adjustments and supporting existing employees.

CCEA

The CCEA regulation logo

The CCEA is the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations, and Assessment. It is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) funded by and responsible to the Department of Education (DE), which oversees qualifications in Northern Ireland. The CCEA reviews awarding bodies, including RLSS UK Qualifications, to ensure that each recognised awarding organisation takes responsibility for the quality and standards of its qualifications.

Ofqual

Several RLSS UK qualifications* are recognised and monitored by Ofqual to ensure that the qualifications reliably indicate the knowledge, skills and understanding candidates need to demonstrate, and the assessments show what a candidate has achieved.

Qualifications Wales reviews a number of RLSS UK qualifications*, ensuring that they and the qualification system are effective for meeting the reasonable needs of learners in Wales.

The Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (ATACP) are a Professional Network of Chartered Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Students working within or specialising in Aquatic Therapy practice. They endorse the RLSS UK Aquatic Therapy Pool Rescue Award (ATPRA) and RLSS UK Aquatic Therapy Pool Rescue Award (ATPRA) LIGHT qualifications. 


Surf Life Saving Association Wales
Surf Life Saving Association Wales (SLSA Wales) 

The Surf Life Saving Association Wales is a not-for-profit organisation with thirty-one voluntary lifeguard clubs currently affiliated with SLSA Wales from Jacksons Bay, Barry, in the east to Aberystwyth in the west and Rhosneigr on Anglesey in the north. SLSA Wales is a partner organisation on the RLSS UK National Surf Coach Lifesaving Award (NSCLA).


Surfing England

Surfing England is the recognised national governing body for surfing in England and endorses the RLSS UK National Surf Coach Lifesaving Award (NSCLA).


UCAS

UCAS connects people to university and post-university studies, including teacher training, apprenticeships, and internships. Candidates can receive UCAS points for completing Level 3 RLSS UK qualifications carrying UCAS points.

The Swimming Alliance is a collaborative group of over 25 leading national organisations united to address the urgent and systemic challenges facing swimming and aquatic participation across the UK. The group advocates for equity, sustainability, and strategic investment in swimming as a life-saving skill, public health priority, and national development asset.


 
UKactive

ukactive is a not-for-profit industry association that promotes the interests of commercial fitness gyms and community leisure centres. More than 3,500 organisations are members.


We also work with the Resuscitation Council UK, First Aid Quality Partnership Group, First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum and European Research Council to ensure our qualifications and courses are of the highest standard, widely viewed as best practice and ratified.
