Under the awarding body IQL UK, RLSS UK has been providing qualifications regulated by Ofqual, QiW, and CCEA for over 20 years, including the industry-leading NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) - currently held by over 90 per cent of all pool lifeguards in the UK – more than 90,000 pool lifeguards! Jo Talbot, Commercial Director, RLSS UK, said about the change: “Every year RLSS UK certify more than 60,000 regulated qualifications and non-regulated vocational training awards. The high-quality service we provide to our loyal customers and developing the optimum level of training to help support swimming pools and many other aquatic settings to be as safe as possible are central to everything we do as an organisation. We constantly review how we can meet the needs of the leisure sector to support the delivery of our qualifications, and we feel that this is the right time to make this change. This move will see us provide simplification for our customers and the industry and further strengthen the RLSS UK brand.
