Learn how to save lives and help prevent accidental drownings in your local area.

Learn new skills that can help to save lives, in a 2-hour training session.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK, the leader in preventing drowning through education and training, are looking to educate and train as many people as possible across the UK. We want everyone to be confident and competent, in the use of water rescue equipment by developing skills and confidence in equipment use, as well as having the knowledge to be able to safely improvise, if no equipment is available.

Why not put yourself and/or members of your team forward, to take part in in this Water Rescue Equipment Training – helping to prevent drownings in your local area.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK, Water Rescue Equipment Training will cover:

  • Open water hazards (such as canals and rivers)
  • Cold water shock
  • Different types of rescue
  • Public Rescue Equipment (PRE)

The total cost for 12 people to learn and become competent in these skills is £300.

Each person who passes and is competent in the award will receive a certificate.

The cost of £300 includes an RLSS UK throw bag for your organisation's use. Throw bag use is demonstrated in the session and a vital piece of PRE.

After successful completion of the award, you will need to be re-assessed after two years.

Courses start in September.
