They’re back!
Last year we introduced Small Talks as a series of events across the UK and Ireland to share information, ideas, and get support in a sociable setting. They were a resounding success, so we are coming out again to focus hearts and minds with even more events in 2020.
Small Talks, as their name implies, are not huge gatherings, allowing more informal chat between our members, club volunteers and staff and offer such a great opportunity to connect more locally with like-minded water safety enthusiasts.
Our aim continues to be saving as many lives as we can, and these sessions will help equip you with the relevant knowledge to achieve that in your area. As with our previous Small Talk series, we are aiming to provide insight into our organisation and let you know what we are doing nationally which will help put everything in context when you are out with your activities in communities. There will also be learning opportunities relative to members skills, as we will be sharing the long anticipated update to our Survive & Save programme of awards.
Each session will commence at 10am, aiming to close around 4pm. Refreshments and a light lunch allowing you to network with your peers will be provided.*
You can book onto any of the series of events that best suit your location and diary.
A core set of discussion topics is currently being planned for you, and will be fully detailed here by end of April, but is likely to include;
*we will not be able to cater for all dietary requirements, only providing a range of sandwiches, fruit and snacks. If you require more specialist foodstuffs may we please suggest that you bring your own.
