Surfwell is a pilot project developed by the Devon & Cornwall and Dorset police forces, that looks at how surfing can support mental health and well-being.

They have partnered with the University of Exeter, to prove that that water is beneficial for us and especially our mental health.

The project harnesses the proven benefits of surfing and surf therapy, to improve staff well-being and reduce stress, for those working within the emergency services.

Whilst only in its infancy, the Surfwell project has already had a positive impact on those benefitting from being involved. And, like RLSS UK, the safety of those in, on, and around the water, is at its very heart.
