Community Instructor is the qualification needed to deliver the Save a Life Series, RLSS UK’s Community Outreach Programme:


 Who can deliver the Community Instructor Qualification?

Lifesaving Instructors (and Tutors)
Trainer Assessors (and higher)


What are the course pre-requisites?

  • By aged 16 years or older
  • Hold a current Life Support 3 Award (can be taken during this module). Candidates who hold medical qualifications will often have learned discipline specific CPR techniques, through completing the Life Support 3 Award all Community Instructors will be familiar with the RLSS UK approved techniques
  • Hold RLSS UK Membership. It is the Instructors responsibility to maintain this membership

How many candidates can you have on a course?

1 Instructor Tutor to 12 candidates (up to 24 candidates with 2 or more Instructor Tutors)


How long does it take to run this course?

Course duration is for guidance only and should reflect the needs of the candidates: 6 hours
